Movie Review: Annabelle Comes Home

I have this kind of love-hate relationship with horror movies. I love to watch it, but I know I'm a scaredy-cat that I might freaked the hell out when I watched this genre. Anyway, Annabelle is one of the most popular horror movies that I never missed, thus this time I decided that I must watch Annabelle Comes Home by hook or by crook.

I watched Annabelle Comes Home at TGV Cinema Central i-City Shah Alam with a whole bunch of my members, with baju kurung since we just finished raya at Sabrina's crib. It was fun because there were 8 of us, that's quite a lot for me.

Move to the movie, the movie Annabelle Comes Homes is a continued from Annabelle: Creation, where the Warren couple brought back the Annabelle and placed it in the glass box in a room full of spiritual things they collect. One day, they went off the house for work, left their daughter with a baby-sitter and her friend. Her friend was so curious about the Warren's couple and would like to see 'those' thing especially her father, who died in an accident. She purposely opened the glass box that Annabelle is placed, and that was when the spirits & ghosts were freely haunted them for the whole night.

I put a very high expectation from this movie because, it's Annabelle. However, I am a bit disappointed with the ending because there's nothing really great about the ending. This movie is a bit slower than Annabelle: Creation from my opinion, and I must say that the story line is just fine. Not to spoil, but it has a happy ending; yet the twist is bad.

I have nothing much to comment about this movie, I'm not going to spoil everything, you guys watch it yourself & decide whether it is worth or not because for me, just fine because I'm into horror films even I think they can think of a better story line. plus, the running time for this movie is too short with just 100 minutes.

The movie is more to jump-scare typical horror films, but as I told you earlier, I am a scaredy-cat so yeah, I screamed a lot during the jump-scare scene. This series of Annabelle is quite slow and a bit boring I must say. Like even the spectators in the hall shouted 'cepatlah sikit', I cried 😂 I was wanting to say the same thing because honestly, the story line and all is SLOW.

Is it scary? I must say, from my personal view, since I am really a scaredy-cat, it is scary, but my friends are all said it wasn't. It wasn't scary at all since the story line ruins everything. Not the best, not the scariest yet still have those terrifying moments in this movie. But however, I think I just wasted my RM17 for this movie. Such a waste.

Would I recommend this movie? Not really. There are better movies you can watch, this one is just okay if you are into horror movies, I bet you don't want to miss to watch this but if you're not really into it, depends on you.
